Objectives
The aim of the project is to develop a specific set of ecoefficiency indicators
for a hotel group (chain or association) by means of an internet technology-based
tool. The software will allow the hotel group to identify and quantify
its environmental performance, monitor the
environmental actions undertaken, evaluate the related economic costs
and develop an internal and external benchmarking system.
The project will be conducted in partnership with the largest Spanish hotel
company, Sol Meliá, as a pilot user.
Objectives
The aim of the project is to develop a set of eco-indicators for three
industrial sectors: costume jewellery, footwear and furniture. The
undertaking will quantify the environmental, sustainability and ecoefficiency performance
of companies belonging to the Confederation of Business Associations
of Balearic Islands (CAEB). In order to
optimise
the monitoring process of these indicators, an internet technologies-based
computer tool will be developed for indicator management, evaluation
and communication. The software will be centralised at the Confederation's
office, and will allow assessment of achieved environmental performances,
evaluation of related economic costs and benchmarking, in a completely
anonymous way.
