RANDA GROUP S.A. was founded in 1985 as a consulting firm specialising in the Environment, Risk Management and Social Forecasting.

Our team of professionals (engineers, environmental scientists, economists, actuaries, computer scientists and lawyers) offers a qualified and specialised answer to companies, institutions and public organisations.

The social denomination and registered trademark comes from the name of a mountain in the centre of Majorca (Spain), RANDA. The philosopher Ramon Llull began his prolific career on this island. The corporate logo is also a reference to Llull's "Tree of Wisdom".

The first activity of the company was RISK MANAGEMENT; assisting companies with the control of random risks (non-speculative risks or risks originating from investments).

The second specialisation, SOCIAL FORECASTING, developed new actuarial/computer sciences methodologies to fulfil two main objectives: analysing the economic and actuarial costs of pension complements; and implementing collective pension agreements for large companies in Spain.

In 1991 the ENVIRONMENTAL CONSULTANCY was created, with the objective of helping customers improve the environmental performance of their systems and products. The environmental division constantly strives for innovation in environmental management and computer science, dedicating 40% of its budget to training and research activities, and participating in more than 10 European projects on R+D +I.

RANDA GROUP is the only Spanish consultancy that participated in the development and review of the ISO 14001 series and the meetings of ISO Technical Committee 207.  The series covers issues such as environmental management systems, environmental audits, eco-labelling, environmental indicators and life cycle assessment.
