RANDA GROUP S.A. was founded in 1985 as a consulting firm specialising in the Environment, Risk Management and Social Forecasting.

Our team of professionals (engineers, environmental scientists, economists, actuaries, computer scientists and lawyers) offers qualified and specialised advice to companies, institutions and public organisations.

The social denomination and registered trademark comes from the name of a mountain in the centre of the Spanish island of Majorca, RANDA, where philosopher Ramon Llull began his prolific career. In addition, the corporate logo represents Llull's "Tree of Wisdom".

The company's first activity was RISK MANAGEMENT; assisting clients with the management of random risks (non-speculative risks or risks originating from investments).

The second specialisation, SOCIAL FORECASTING, developed new actuarial/computer sciences methodologies to fulfil two main objectives: analysing the economic and actuarial costs of pension complements; and implementing collective pension agreements in large companies in Spain.

In 1991 the ENVIRONMENTAL CONSULTANCY was created. The main objective was to assist customers in improving the environmental performance of systems and products. The environmental division constantly strives for innovation in environmental management and computer science, dedicating 40% of its budget to training and research activities, and participating in more than 10 European projects on R+D +I.

RANDA GROUP is an environmental consultancy with 10 years of experience and the extensive knowledge required for environmental management in the industrial and service sectors.

RANDA GROUP is the only Spanish consultancy that participated in the development and review of the international norms of ISO 14001 series.  Representatives participated in ISO Technical Committee 207 meetings regarding environmental management systems, environmental audits, eco-labelling, environmental indicators and life cycle assessment.
