INTERNATIONAL SPOLD

The Society for the Promotion of LCA Development was founded in 1992 to catalyse the development and application of LCA, gathering resources from industry and other organisations, in order to gain acceptance of LCA as a decision-making tool.

LCANET

LCANET is a concerted action project in the framework of EC DGXII Programme for Environment and Climate, 1994-1998. Its objectives are: publication of a document on the state-of-the-art methodology in LCA and its applications; and the development of a strategic research programme to use LCA as an effective political support tool.

  • Member of LCANET since its creation in May 1996.
  • Invited scientist to the workshop "Positioning and Applications of LCA" in November 1996.
  • Invited scientist to the network meeting of LCANET in March 1996.

 

 

CHAINET

At the end of LCANET a new concerted action began in the EC DGXII. CHAINET seeks to establish an information and collaboration network of experts in European industry and academia to develop appropriate environmental management instruments (emphasising LCA) for electrical appliances, automobiles and detergents.
